pROFESSIONAL bIOGRAPHY
Attorney Kimberley Ann Ward is an accomplished In-House Counsel and a nationally recognized bar association leader. Her practice spans complex global and domestic commercial agreements government contracting, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation, with deep expertise across Technology Platforms and Artificial Intelligence, Aerospace and Defense, Life Sciences and Medical Devices, Health and Research, and Sports and Entertainment. Known for deep institutional knowledge, cross-functional leadership, and a commitment to innovation, her contributions have helped define the legal infrastructure behind ambitious technology and AI initiatives at some of the world’s leading companies.
Ms. Ward currently supports Meta as Product Counsel and Commercial Counsel through Axiom Global Inc., advising Reality Labs across the telco channel in APAC, EMEA, and North America. As lead Commercial Counsel for Google through Axiom Global, she played a key role in advancing Google’s most innovative AI programs — navigating complex agreements for AI-related services with substantial vendors supporting Bard/Gemini, and delivering enterprise-wide legal innovations including the Global Multi-Engagement Service Order (MESO) standardizing $30M+ in vendor spend, the Global Information Protection Addendum, and the gTech AI Testing Pilot template. Her career also includes substantive corporate counsel roles in medical devices, aerospace and defense, and judicial-branch service.
A Life Member of the National Bar Association (NBA) and the National Bar Institute (NBI), Ms. Ward has served on the NBA Board of Governors since 2019 and was elected NBA Vice President in 2023, then re-elected in 2025. She serves on the State Bar of Michigan Representative Assembly as Chair of the Drafting Committee, on the Oakland County Bar Association Board of Directors, and as past President of the D. Augustus Straker Bar Association. She is recognized for sustained leadership in election protection, expungement, human trafficking response, and intellectual property education across the Detroit metropolitan area and nationally.
